Aluminium 2017 Wire is an alloy primarily composed of 4.0-5.5% copper, with the remaining composition consisting of 90-94% aluminium, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and magnesium. This composition provides high strength and excellent machinability. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 480-580 MPa, yield strength around 350-460 MPa, and elongation of 10-15%.
