Aluminum 2024 Circle is mainly alloyed with aluminum (90-95%), and copper (3.8-4.9%), manganese (1.2-1.8%), magnesium (1.2-1.8%), It also contains a few other elements such as silicon , iron and zinc. It offers excellent mechanical properties, including high strength, fatigue resistance and excellent mechanical properties. Its yield strength is between 250-340 MPa, tensile strength ranges from 470-590 MPa, and elongation is about 20%. It also has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking but has lower general corrosion resistance than other aluminum alloys. For these reasons, they are widely used in air and space high stress applications.
