Aluminium 3003 consists of about 1.2% manganese and the rest aluminium, along with small amounts of copper and iron. It boasts a tensile strength of 130 to 200 MPa and a yield strength of 115 MPa. The density is 2.73 g/cm³. It cannot be heat-treated but has good elongation (10 to 20%) and corrosion resistance, particularly in humid or mildly acidic environments. It is also suitable for anodizing and surface finishing.
